GuardianBLU is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to the long-term survival of global marine ecosystems. Our primary mission is to empower, equip, and advise local populations, community leaders, and grass-roots initiatives in developing countries to establish, scale, and maintain permanent, self-sustaining marine restoration and conservation frameworks.
August 2025 – ProDVA Conservation Branch: The Professional Diver Alliance (ProDVA) launched its dedicated conservation branch, mandating that members actively participate in global marine initiatives.
February 2026 – Avatar Ocean Academy Partnership: Formally joined forces with Vietnam's Avatar Ocean Academy to co-develop and advise on a massive 120-meter coastal reef restoration project in Nha Trang.
January 2026 – The Birth of GuardianBLU: ProDVA established a specialized educational arm to teach proprietary marine preservation courses, officially naming the division GuardianBLU.
April 2026 – Scaling the Scientific Board: Brought multiple leading Marine Biologists onto the team to spearhead data-driven conservation and strengthen our international advisory oversight.
June 2026 – Transition to Independent NGO: GuardianBLU officially structured as a standalone 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to scale our brand and operate under strict international NGO guidelines.
July 2026 – Scientific Leadership: Harriet Brown, MSci in Marine Biology and Oceanography (one of our original lead scientists), formally signed on to head the GuardianBLU Scientific Board.
August 2026 – Proprietary Certifications Launch: Rolling out our official GuardianBLU online platform, launching multiple proprietary certification pathways for advanced citizen science.
